I am thoroughly transfixed.  Making Connections: Hasidic Roots and Resonance in the Teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais by David Kaetz has me on the edge of my seat.

Jewish history, spiritual, and mystical lessons which I should have known but didn’t are fascinating.  Kaetz is making a case for Feldenkrais’ way of teaching as based in the Jewish tradition of interpretation with simultaneous levels of understanding.  Superficial, allegorical, symbolic, and mystical always present in the oral Torah.

So far I feel touched by how Moshe’s live began and the influence the Jewish way of being, passed down through his well revered Rabbinical relatives, was passed on in a basic premise of the Feldenkrais Method: The question is more important than the answer.

I’m on page 31.
